Fulidhoo, Vaavu Atoll

The lagoon off Fulidhoo is shallow, clear and sheltered, which makes it a forgiving place to try something for the first time. Seven activities run from the beach at Kinān Beach Club. Four are powered or towed with a guide on the water beside you, and three are yours to paddle at whatever pace the day deserves.

Activities 01 to 04

Powered and towed

Guided from the beach, life jackets on, and as fast or as gentle as you ask for.

01 Jet Ski Guided · 15 to 60 minutes

Take the throttle yourself with a guide riding alongside, out across water so clear you can watch the sand slide under the hull.

02 Fun Tube Ride Towed · 10 minutes

Three or four of you on one inflatable, towed behind the jet ski. Ask for gentle and you get gentle. Ask for the other thing and you get that too.

03 Banana Boat Ride Towed · 10 minutes

The one that empties a row of sun loungers fastest. Everybody climbs on, everybody holds on, and somebody always ends up in the water.

04 Wakeboarding Towed · 15 to 30 minutes

Flat, sheltered water and a patient crew make this a good place to learn. If you already ride, the lagoon gives you a long clean run with nothing in your way.

Activities 05 to 07

At your own pace

One hour on the water, no engine, and no guide unless you ask for one.

05 Kayaking 1 hour

Take a kayak off the beach and follow the shoreline as far as you feel like going. Most guests are back inside the hour. Some are not.

06 Glass Kayak 1 hour

The hull is transparent, so the reef passes underneath you the whole way out. Go in the middle of the day, when the light drops straight to the bottom.

07 Stand-Up Paddleboard 1 hour

Stand, kneel or sit, whichever the day calls for. The water is shallow enough that falling in is simply part of it.

Good to know

Everything is provided

Equipment: Boards, kayaks, paddles and tow gear, all kept at the Beach Club a few steps from the sand.
Life jackets: Fitted before you leave the beach, and worn for every powered and towed activity.
Briefing: A short run through before each session, so nobody is guessing.
Guide: A member of the watersports team goes out with every powered and towed activity.
Timing: Sessions run daily, weather permitting.
Bring: Swimwear, sunscreen and a towel. A camera earns its place on the glass kayak.
