Fulidhoo
The Island
Welcome to Vaavu Fulidhoo
Fulidhoo is a small, friendly island in the Maldives’ Vaavu Atoll, where soft white beaches meet a lagoon teeming with life. One of the oldest inhabited islands in the atoll, it carries a proud maritime heritage: traditionally a fishing community, Fulidhoo has kept its authentic Maldivian character while warmly welcoming visitors seeking a more genuine island experience. Peaceful, picturesque and gloriously uncrowded, it is barefoot island living at its most real.

Beyond the Lagoon
Sandbanks, Picnic Islands & the Fulidhoo Wreck
Fulidhoo is ringed by enchanting sandbanks and famous picnic islands, made for unwinding in the sun with nothing but sea around you. Snorkellers and divers can explore the Fulidhoo wreck, while quiet beaches and sweeping views are never far away.

Island Life
Warm, Walkable and Wonderfully Local
Life on Fulidhoo is relaxed, welcoming and deeply rooted in Maldivian tradition. Watch local fishermen at work, enjoy traditional cuisine and feel the rhythm of a community that moves at its own gentle pace. The island is compact enough to explore entirely on foot. Visitors are encouraged to dress respectfully in the village, with swimwear kept for the bikini beach and excursions, to ask before photographing residents, and to help protect the island’s natural environment.
